    hello all.

at the moment i am going through the process of testing all the different qualities of different codecs used by adobe premier 6.

so far, divx, mpeg4, and quicktime's H261 are the winners in size and quality.

my question is, what codecs do other people use? i have no idea which codec is the best for different "looks". you see, compared to projected super8, no codec comes even close! is this because i am using the wrong settings, or is that the way it is?

does anybody know of a book, or web page that holds good information?

i hope somebody can help me out.

    Your in codec **** -o!

Probably your best bet would be to do a google search using the words "best quality codec" (include the quotations).

Let us know what you find!

I'm a fan of Real. Some people don't like it because Real video programs try to take over your computer.

I've had mixed results with Windows Media.

Quicktime is widely accepted, but can be blocky in it compression.
